Hailing from Anchorage Alaska, Bearfoot is fast-rising on the acoustic music scene. The band features three part vocal harmony, solid rhythm and soloing on mandolin and guitar, twin fiddles, and acoustic bass. Their repertoire ranges from the band’s original contemporary acoustic songs to fast paced instrumentals to arrangements of traditional tunes. Bearfoot has a lively and engaging stage presence with an appeal that crosses generations - from younger audiences to older and traditional bluegrass fans.

They have never been your typical band. In September of 1999, 6 teenagers assembled in Anchorage, Alaska to form Bearfoot Bluegrass. Two months later they were performing for 20,000 people at the National FFA convention in Kentucky. No one was more amazed at their success than the band members themselves.

"Great fiddling, snappy mandolin and guitar picking, all with a youthful sound. Led by some truly great singing...this Alaska quintet manages to sound both fresh and polished." Country Music Today. "...the future of these young pickers is one of unlimited promise." --Bluegrass Unlimited

With their most recent recording, "Follow Me," there is a definite shift in the band’s musical direction. They dropped the bluegrass from their name and have ventured out into the world of acoustic Americana. Their beginning as a bluegrass band still shows through as they play the fire out of their instruments on up-tempo numbers like the title track, "Follow Me." "It's hard to tell which is a bigger selling point for Bearfoot... their tight harmonies or their stellar instrumentals."-- Kathy Boyd, Ground Zero Sound and Promotions
